Our services, in detail

Four non-clinical services for patients, older adults and families at a distance.

Program 01 · A second set of ears

Appointment accompaniment

We prepare the questions beforehand with you, attend, write down what was said, and go through it afterwards when there is time to absorb it. Where language is a barrier, you are entitled to a qualified medical interpreter provided by the facility — we will make sure you are offered one rather than relying on us.

  • Per appointment
  • Patients and families
  • Hourly
  • Patient's consent

Stage 1 · Prepare

The questions, written down beforehand.

Stage 2 · Attend

Quietly, taking notes.

Stage 3 · Afterwards

Gone through when you can take it in.

Stage 4 · Next steps

Who is doing what, and by when.

Stage 1 · Map it

Every provider and what they treat.

Stage 2 · Chase

Results, referrals and reports.

Stage 3 · Confirm

That things actually arrived.

Stage 4 · One list

Kept current and shared with you.

Program 02 · Between providers

Care coordination

Things get lost between providers — a result not sent, a referral never followed up, a medication changed by one doctor that another does not know about. We chase those, confirm they arrived, and keep one current list of who is involved and what each is treating.

Program 03 · Organised and found

Records & paperwork

Requesting records, putting them in order, and keeping the folder that gets taken to every appointment. We complete forms you direct us to complete. We do not advise on insurance or Medicare plans — that is licensed work — and we will refer you to the official free counselling services instead.

  • Per task
  • Patients and families
  • Hourly
  • HIPAA authorisation

Stage 1 · Authorisation

Signed, before any record is requested.

Stage 2 · Gather

Requested from each provider.

Stage 3 · Organise

One folder, in order, kept current.

Stage 4 · Referral

To licensed help for insurance questions.

Stage 1 · Consent

The patient decides who is told what.

Stage 2 · Summary

Written after each appointment.

Stage 3 · In their language

Spanish or English.

Stage 4 · Questions

Answered, within what we can know.

Program 04 · For relatives far away

Family updates

Families abroad or in another state spend a great deal of worry on incomplete information. A written summary after each appointment — what was said, what changed, what happens next — in Spanish or English, with the patient's consent, replaces a chain of half-remembered phone calls.
